Episode 1: The Warning
There is a village hidden deep within a forest.
Not the kind you find on maps…
not the kind travelers stumble upon by accident.
This village is different.
Because every ten years… it disappears.
Not destroyed.
Not abandoned.
Just… gone.
And the last person who saw it was never supposed to return.
A Boy Named Obi
Long before the stories spread… before fear took shape… there was a boy named Obi.
He lived at the edge of a quiet village, where life was simple and predictable. During the day, everything felt normal. Children played in the open fields, laughter filled the air, and the rhythm of daily life never broke.
But the forest nearby was always there… watching.
Tall trees stood too close together, their shadows stretching longer than they should. Even in daylight, something about that forest felt… wrong.
At night, it became something else entirely.
When Night Falls
The moment the sun disappeared, the village changed.
Doors were shut early.
Fires burned lower.
Voices dropped into whispers.
No one looked toward the forest.
No one.
It was as if an unspoken rule governed everyone’s behavior one that Obi didn’t understand.
Not yet.
The Warning
One evening, as darkness settled and silence crept in, Obi’s grandmother called him closer.
Her hands, old but firm, held his tightly. Her eyes carried a weight he had never seen before.
Then she spoke.
“There are places in this world… where time does not move the way it should.”
Obi frowned slightly, unsure what she meant.
“And there are voices,” she continued, “that do not belong to the living.”
The room felt colder.
“If you ever hear your name… coming from the forest…”
She tightened her grip.
“…you must never answer.”
The Voice
Obi didn’t take her seriously.
To him, it sounded like one of those stories elders tell to keep children from wandering too far.
So that night, he went to sleep without fear.
But sometime in the darkness… he woke up.
At first, he didn’t know why.
Then he heard it.
A voice.
Soft… distant… almost carried by the wind.
“Obi…”
His body stiffened.
He held his breath, listening carefully.
Again, it came.
“Obi…”
This time, clearer.
And it wasn’t inside the house.
It was coming from the forest.
A Dangerous Curiosity

His heart began to pound.
His grandmother’s words echoed in his mind:
You must never answer.
But curiosity has a way of overpowering fear.
Slowly, Obi sat up.
The room was dark. The silence felt heavier than before.
He stood and began walking toward the door, each step careful, almost unwilling.
The voice had stopped.
Completely.
That silence felt worse than the whisper.
The Morning After
The air felt empty.
Too quiet.
Too still.
Obi stepped outside, expecting the usual sights the distant huts, the movement of people, the signs of life.
But what he saw made his blood run cold.
The village beyond the forest… was gone.
Not damaged.
Not scattered.
Gone.
As if it had never been there.
The Beginning of Fear
No one spoke about it.
Not the elders.
Not the families.
It was as if silence had been forced upon everyone.
But deep down, something had changed.
That was the night it began.
The disappearances.
And Obi…
was the only one who heard the voice.
To Be Continued…
What is hidden inside the forest?
Why does the village disappear every ten years?
And why was Obi called?
In Episode 2, Obi returns to uncover the truth…
and what he finds will change everything.
